BayBears Charities is  a 501c (3) not-for-profit corporation that  provides support to local and regional tax-exempt organizations to directly conduct or sponsor activities for the promotion of educational. good health, physical education, public safety, medical research, literacy, or charitable purposes. In addition to supporting the Hank Aaron Childhood Home & Museum, BayBears Charities provides support to a number of other charitable initiatives, including The Boys & Girls Club of South Alabama and the BayBears Rookie League for At Risk Youth/Mobile Housing Board which over 250 young boys and girls learn to play the game of baseball and softball over the last decade.

BayBears Charities is organized for the primary purpose to educate and help children of all ages, the history of Mobile born Hank Aaron and Baseball in Mobile. Mobile is the home of five Hall of Famers including Hank Aaron, Willie McCovey, Satchel Paige, Billy Williams and Ozzie Smith. Hank Aaron Stadium is the home of the Mobile BayBears (AA Minor League Affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks) since 1997.                                                                        

BayBears Charities  oversees and operates the Hank Aaron Childhood Home Relocation and Restoration Project. Never before in history has a Hall of Famer's childhood home been moved to a professional baseball stadium grounds and created into a museum. In addition to the renovation, the Hank Aaron Museum and Learning Center will open in the spring of 2010. Monies donated to BayBears Charities include the ongoing operation and restoration of the Museum at Hank Aaron Stadium.

The home/museum will be open for tour  for school programs, group tours, corporate meetings, events and private parties. Museum hours: Open to the public Monday thru Friday, 10am to 4:00pm and Saturdays 10am -2pm. Closed Major Holidays. Admission is $5.00 Adult/$4.00 for Kids 12 & under, Seniors and Military with I.D.

The home/museum will be offering one hour educational classed on the history of Baseball in Mobile and Hank Aaron for students grades 3-12 and all youth social clubs. The classes are held at the museum and learning center and can accommodate up to 40 students at a time. For more info   www.hankaaronstadium.com
